    The purple tulip (?) seems very appropriate in Lent. What’s the tree coming into leaf – an acer?

    The red ‘tree’ is a Toona Sinensis ‘Flamingo’. Its common name can be a Chinese Mahogany Tree, Chinese Cedar, Chinese Toon or, bizarrely, Beef and Onion Plant!
