All Saints PIOTA App
One of the things the Communications and Administration Working Group have been seeking over the last few months is a better way to keep in touch with our members across the parish. This new mobile App, PIOTA, which runs on almost all smartphones and tablets (not the sort Moses was given!) is designed to help us do that. At the moment we have it on trial, so bear with us as we get to grips with its workings and learn how to use it effectively!
It will save paper and ink, but also time and effort on the part of various staff members. DO let us know what you think, we want to use the trial fully. Technology is sometimes perceived to exclude the elderly. However, we know that we have a number of ‘silver-surfers’ amongst us and we hope that this App will help both them and those who are housebound keep in touch with what is going on.
As well as an information source we will also contact you from time to time via alert messages carried by the App. You can filter the alert messages if you wish: go to the Settings page on the App and choose whether to receive all alerts or just those relevant to you.
The App is free for anyone to download (from the App Store if you are on iOS, from Google Play if you are on Android). Share this with your friends and neighbours so they can keep up to date too. At present it is not available on Kindle Fire.
You can find a more detailed guide to navigating the All Saints Frindsbury App in the Information section of the App once you have downloaded it.
With best wishes
The Communications and Administration Working Group
